It's time to joyfully sing out!

If you share my passion for music, for inspiration, I'd encourage you to explore Playing for Change, a compelling platform that harnesses the power of music as a catalyst for social transformation. Singing needs to become more central to our movement—it nourishes our collective spirit and binds us together.
Throughout history, protest songs fueled the civil rights movement. That tradition is experiencing a powerful resurgence today, amplified by the stirring rallies in Minnesota and the anthem "Hold On" that has become a symbol of our resistance. Music has become our most potent tool—not just for resisting authoritarianism, but for sustaining the hope and solidarity our movement requires.
In Boston, a grassroots movement has taken root. BVOCAL, Boston Voices of Community and Labor; emerged as a powerful force for singing resistance, inspiring a wave of similar initiatives across the region. [Learn more about BVOCAL on our site]. Their momentum has catalyzed the formation of other vocal activism groups, including MetroWest Sings Out—a testament to how one community's voice can spark many others.
MetroWest Sings Out was founded by Laura, a retired music educator whose passion for music and social change transformed her vision into action. Drawing on her years of teaching experience and her active participation in open mic nights throughout the metro west area, Laura created a space where musicians could channel their talents toward meaningful protest and community building.
Whether you're a seasoned musician, an occasional performer, or simply someone who loves listening, I encourage you to engage with music every single day. Sing, play an instrument, or simply listen—there's no judgment here, only opportunity. You deserve this act of self-care, and our nation's soul needs it too.
READY ALL TOGETHER NOW....5-6-7-8 SING ! !

Who we are...
Is a coalition of likeminded artsy activists committed to promoting grassroots activism through art and joy, uniting creative forces against fascist regimes. We believe in the power of art, music, and creativity to ignite change and inspire others to resist oppressive autocratic systems.
We are intentionally unaffiliated with any formal organization. This independence allows for openness, diversity, and flexibility—welcoming artists and activists to collaborate, contribute, and step away as needed, while keeping the work accessible and movement-focused.
